It was very important to Ellen and her Polish roots (well, almost Polish—her family was right across the border in Czechoslovakia) that Charlotte liked pierogies. Sensing this pressure, Charlie couldn’t shovel them into her mouth fast enough.

Charlotte loves waffles but hates to see them go to waste. So when she’s had her fill, it’s only logical that she wants to share the wealth.

Or she once saw me sneak Bailey pizza crust at the table. Or grilled chicken. Or…waffles. This meal was very reminiscent of the last line of a famous public service announcement from the 1980s:

The Baby Food Critic has become so popular that she’s outgrown her meager original set. Tonight, Grandpa Chuck assembled a new throne for our little Gene Siskel. No more Bumbo. No more IKEA table. No more if-she-leans-back-too-far-she’ll-crash-through-the-kitchen-window.

The first meal in her new chair was also her first foray into meat-eating. In this clip, the first bite is carrots. The second bite marks the end of her vegetarian career:
