(Little Miss Typist managed to hit the “Num Lock” key — a key I didn’t know existed, and therefore, how to switch back off. I was picturing a long afternoon at the Apple Store. She finally showed me what she did. We had a good laugh afterwards.)

Inspired by tonight’s figure skating—and using Chinese couple Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo’s music—Charlotte and Bailey treated us to an interpretive dance. In some parts of the performance, Bailey is less of a partner and more of a pommel horse. She gets the gold for putting up with this.
Charlotte was playing with her dolls this morning—I just kind of let the camera roll here. One thing to watch for is how quickly she abdicates her parental responsibilities when she sees something good on TV. I’m worried she learned that from me during the NFL playoffs.

Charlotte wanted to lend a hand with the laundry. Her idea of helping is crawling into the basket, unballing socks, then getting all defiant when you ask her to stop.
I turned on the video camera hoping Charlotte would say her new favorite phrase (“Puppy doog!”) She wanted to show off some robotic dance moves instead.
The clip was cut short by a raucous dog, who had to be removed from the set. After a few minutes, Charlotte let her back in.
