She’s Not All Evil
After portraying Charlotte as a vengeful baby in the previous video, I wanted to give equal time to her adorable side.
After portraying Charlotte as a vengeful baby in the previous video, I wanted to give equal time to her adorable side.
There was an incident tonight at the English residence. It was the baby with the remote in the bedroom. There is an embargo on photos of the lump on Ellen’s forehead, so you’ll have to use your imagination.
Ever since I downloaded The Essential Michael Jackson on Friday, Charlotte can’t stop dancing. “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” is far and away her favorite tune.
“Billie Jean” gets her going, too, but doesn’t hold her interest.
And even though Mark Knopfler is alive/kicking, Charlie wanted to celebrate his body of work as well.
Charlie knows better than to drop her pacifier around her dog. I retrieved it after shutting off the camera. Fortunately, Bailey does not know better than to run into Charlotte’s room and literally back herself into a corner.
I missed most of the hide-in-the-drapes game, but I still caught some funny stuff. I need to keep that camera on me at all times.

You might not know it from all the smiley photos I post, but little Charlotte has a big temper. When she’s in one of her moods, we call her a Rageaholic. (“Get her to a meeting,” I might add.)

I didn’t realize there actually was a Rageaholics Anonymous – I thought it was something made up for Seinfeld. (After George gets dragged to an RA meeting, he admits that he does have a little rage, “but now they want me to bottle it up. It makes me so mad!”)
Anyway, I’ll try to get video footage of the baby on the warpath.
Two more dance videos:
Once again, McDonald’s provided the soundtrack.
“Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, and a sesame seed bun.”
Charlotte took her walker out for a spin before dinner. The Paparazzi was there.
(Get it? Paparazzi? Could we sell matching ‘Paparazzi’ and ‘Mamarazzi’ tank tops?)
She ended with her signature dance. I taught her that.

It was eleven months ago Thursday that Charlotte joined us out here in the world. As she approaches single digits, it’s about time she joined the workforce. She’s currently modeling one of the new mental_floss onesies. I’ll post outtakes from her photoshoot later this week. (Bailey was not compensated, but we’re not sure she even knows she was involved.)

My sister Karen was married off last weekend in a beautiful wedding down the Jersey shore. Charlotte served as the honorary flower girl. Tons of pictures to post.
Here’s my latest CNN segment, about the history of MTV. I skipped over most of the good parts, so you can read the whole story here.
When that catchy Big Mac song comes on, you can’t not start dancing. (The first time Charlotte heard it, she was really grooving. We captured the encore performance.)

Charlotte has been on the disabled list since Friday with croup. High fever, scary cough, congestion, ear infection – she’s had it all. On top of that, her first tooth picked the worst possible time to break on through.

While medical-types might argue otherwise, I’ve always said there’s only one cure for croup – a trip to a traditional small-town American festival. Lucky for Charlotte, Saturday was Wayne Day ‘09.

Here’s yesterday’s CNN segment. And if you click on the picture below, you can watch a young Jerry Seinfeld on Benson. The episode, “Benson’s Groupie,” originally aired on December 19, 1980 (fast forward to the 7:00 mark).
