Two Months Old

Charlotte was born two months ago today. (You can re-live those first few hours here.) Being truly mean parents, we celebrated by letting a nurse practitioner stick Charlie’s thighs with pointy, disease-filled needles. But she’ll thank us when she’s the only Livingston kid without diphtheria.

Let’s see what else she’s been up to…

Charlotte tipped the scales today at nine pounds, ten ounces. If you’re keeping track of all our measurements, at the vet on Tuesday, Bailey was 72.6 pounds. I’m hovering in the low 180s, where my Weight Watchers diet has been stalled for, well, two months. I’m not authorized to report on Ellen’s vital statistics, but I’ll say this: she’s drawing the ire of many strangers who can’t believe she just had a baby.

Charlotte is getting better at finding her thumb, but she’s still missing badly and walloping herself in the face numerous times each day.

That hand is supposed to be tucked snugly inside the swaddling blanket. We need some duct tape.

Bailey’s taking it all in stride.

Just don’t touch her pillow supply.

Let’s end with a few bath photos.

Charlotte loves bath time, but ranks the perpetual flashes as her least favorite aspect.

We’ve got a series of duck-themed photos to be posted another time. Get excited.
