Homecoming

We survived our first night home with Charlotte—and without the wonderful team of 24-hour nurses a call button away. Initially, Bailey was curious, barking up a storm when her strange new roommate started crying. But by 3am, she’d realized the best response to a screaming baby was hiding on the quiet side of the house.
Here are a few more pictures from Charlotte’s homecoming:

We’ll be throwing each other high-fives in no time

I brokered the first meeting between baby and dog. Bailey acts as something of an early warning system when it comes to dirty diapers.

The girls, doing girl things.

A visit from Great Aunt Nancy. She and Great Uncle Dave brought brownies and beer.

This was taken at 6:30pm. No problem sleeping during the day.

I may be going overboard with the pics. This was Charlotte’s first gesture.

love it! have you heard of hte miracle blanket? great invention, makes swaddling easier. might be worth looking into as she grows. after awhile marion was able to get out of the hospital blanket swaddle, but not the miracle blanket! and it helped her to sleep at night.

I’ll second Meghan’s recommendation for the miracle blanket.
