Being Baby Charlotte

[Previously: A Baby Story: Charlotte Lynn English.]
Charlotte Lynn has spent much of her first few days asleep. But she managed to open her eyes often enough for me to take six dozen pictures.
I promise not to share all of them.
Thanks for all your great comments, emails, Facebook messages and texts. Baby Charlotte is loving the fan mail.

In this family, we eat with hats on.

Who invented the swaddling technique? This person needs to be identified and celebrated.

Mom and daughter fit together well. The only thing missing from the equation? A live-action stuffed animal.

I’ve brought Bailey various blankets used by Baby Charlotte. This, we were told in the Pets & Babies class offered by the hospital, will help the pup pick up the scent and be less freaked out when the two first meet.

I’d fully expected her to mistake them for chew toys, but she ended up just sniffing cautiously.

Grandma Lynn told Baby Charlie to expect a lot of visitors.

Uncle Mark…

…Grandpa Chuck…

…Great-Grandpa Chanda…

…Aunt Barbara…

…Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa Mielke…

…my parents were back with their mothers, who are strangely absent from my photos. Next time.

Meeting fans is tiring work.

Thanks to the mental_floss Cleveland office, Charlotte will soon become a crawling billboard.
That’s plenty. (For now.)

OMG, she is just so beautiful. Helen gave me your website and I’m so excited because now I can check in and see pictures of Charlie without asking.
I hope Ellen is feeling better. It’s so sad that she had to go through such an ordeal but it’s worth it if you get a beautiful baby at the end.
ENJOY HER!! Love Lorraine
