The Home Stretch

Bailey and the Baby

We’re into the eighth month, and Bailey is wise to this whole pregnancy thing.

I don’t know what you can extrapolate about children from their behavior in the womb. But if the answer is “lots,” this kid will be a placekicker who argues constantly about his or her bedtime.

Ellen is in full-on nesting mode, which has meant wonderful things for our property value. New (less blue) carpet…

Stairs Before & After

…new front walkway…

Front of House

…and new curtains, bookshelves, hamper, office layout, dog toy storage strategy and baby furniture (coming next week).

Are we prepared to be parents? God no. But when we’re running on fumes this summer, exhausted and irritable and over our heads, at least the freshly mulched trees will give the illusion of stability.

    Aw…nesting! Your house looks great.

Will we get to see you guys this weekend maybe? We are so excited to be an aunt and (almost) an uncle.

Bailey is such a love bug. You can tell she’s already decided that baby is going to be her bestest friend.

We’re heading down the shore on Saturday afternoon. You can put on a padded glove and feel this kid kick.
