How People Found Jobs
I get two kinds of email from people I don’t know. Most often, it’s someone who’s been similarly screwed by Sprint. But I also get my share of requests for career advice.
And I never know what to say.
Often I’ll meander through my own career history, which is in no way helpful (but takes up time). But I’ve recently read two good stories about how people found their jobs. From now on, I’ll be forwarding these two stories to seekers of wisdom.
• Michael Surtees talks about how he made the move from Edmonton to New York.
• Johanna Beyenbach reflects on the one-year anniversary of her turning pro.
But if it’s cellular retribution you’re seeking, I’m still your guy.
