Peyton on SNL
This spoof United Way ad was the highlight of Peyton Manning’s appearance on Saturday Night Live. In my book, throwing footballs at unsuspecting kids is always funny.

I enjoyed it as well (and HD makes anything 10x more watchable) but didn’t you feel like it could’ve been a lot better? The writing is so bad on this show now, even a sketch like this doesn’t quite hit all the right notes. There were so many bad skits that night — we need to get GW out of office just so we can stop these awful SNL impressions (and I’m a Republican).

sorry — two comments in 10 minutes — but didn’t you feel like you wer watching a montage of the bill madison kickball scene, the park scene with alyssa jones in big daddy and the united way commercial in king pin?

Great comments. I almost added that, since the kickball scene in Billy Madison, the hurling-stuff-at-unsuspecting-kids move has been hard to top.
I liked this start of this skit a lot, though there were a few times where Peyton mumbled his line. The idea of Peyton just being his regular self was funny enough — yelling at teammates, making the Peyton Manning face, wildly gesticulating. They probably should have stayed there.
When he started robbing cars and getting kids tattooed, it kind of fell apart.
